The Air Avoidance Options Dialog
The dialog looks like this:
This dialog lets you set options affecting all fleets.
If you have selected a fleet on the theatre map or while running the turn, the dialog will let you set options for just the selected fleet which override the general settings. The dialog looks the same except that the selected fleet is named:
Using the drop down selectors, you can select four threshholds:
- Low: Fleets try to bypass hexes with at least this number of enemy air points
- Medium: As for low, but fleets will go further out of their way if necessary to avoid these hexes.
- Heavy: Fleets will go quite a way out of the way if necessary to avoid these hexes.
- Avoid: Fleets will try to avoid these hexes if at all possible
The points represent total estimated enemy air power in terms of bombloads that can be delivered in that hex. One point is the equivalent of 100 kg of bombs. For example, 1000 points means 100 tonnes of bombs in total could be delivered by all enemy aircraft in range in a single sortie.
Use your enemy air power maps on the theatre map to calculate how you need to change these settings.
